Glaucus and Scylla has perfect themes for soap oprahs. Curiosity is one of these themes. If Glaucus wan't curious, he wouldn't have tastes the magic grass. Onthe other hand, this curiosity leads to a drastical change in his life and this leads to an imposible love. He and Scylla are opposites, he is water and she is earth. Even though opposites attract, they can't mix. Even though this love is difficult, it still has a way out. At this point of the story, another possible theme for soap oprah appears. The god Circe is jelous and lets out all her anger against Sylla. Now, the complicated love turns out to be impossible.
Applying it to real life:
this happens very often. We see Circe, a god with a human trait. You could also interprate it as us humas having god traits. Gods are meant to have complete power, this is why Circe is jelous. This also happens to humas. We are very greedy and want everything for ourselves. I think greed was what made us believe we too were gods and had complete power over everything. The truth is, we don't have the power, and we will keep on detroying if we don't start accepting we're humans not gods.
