mythology and real life

After reading some greek mythology, I realized how far the imagination can go. I thought myths were done to explain nature's doings but I couldn't find the why behind some of these stories. Anyways, these myths can relate to our world today. We still use somo of these myths and others have developed and transformed into other stories.
Sme myths, like Pandora's myth are what we long to be. Pandora was a woman made in heaven. Every god contributed to make her perfect. We dream with being like Pandora, thats why they created her myth.
These myths are very similar to Gilgamesh and other stories. They have a hidden lesson and alot of fantasy. They explain events as the gods' will and write alot of metaphores. The people of these times were very truthfull to what they wrote. They believed many of the myths because these were a kind of "rule book" that told them how to live.
I strongly belive people prefer to make sacrifices and believe in insane rules than not belive in anything at all.
