greatest prose of work ever written in english

Honestly, I have no idea what to expect from this piece of writing, what I do know, is that it's a step close to finding and adapting the ansews to the QUESTions. Ishamel, Gilgamesh and the myths have given me a new perspective of life and I hope to understand it more after reading Gods Secretaries.
The passage reads: "They have a ghost presence in our lives, invicible, but constantly heard, enriching the language with the 'civility , learning and eloquence' of their translation, but nowadays, only whispering the sentences in our ears." After reading this I had a sensation that there is something someone's hiding and I'm not sure what it is, I's like the story in Ishmael, about Germans being the only people, the only race in the world and how a boy felt they were hiding something from him but he didn't know what it was.
"The period was held in the grip of an inmense struggle; between the demands for freedom of the individual concience, and the need for order and an imposed inheritance, between monarchy adn democracy; between extremisim and toletation" Thanks to the time and place this translation was made, I belief its content has many wise answers that help us get closer to the real meaning of life.

I think God's Secretaries was only a supplement to the Bible.
